Surrender To Love

Let the time be now
Surrendering it all today
No hope, my time is over

Breathless from the fight
Dismiss the pride and purpose
Not seeing a tomorrow

This is a Sedoka poem which is an unrhymed poem made up of two three-line katauta with the following syllable counts:  5/7/7, 5/7/7.  The katauta is a Japanese poetry form with 17 or 19 syllables arranged in three lines.  The form was used for poems to address a lover.
