Africa

The earth weeps
For its treasured jewel
Filled with riches untapped
Sparkling earth, black fluid gold
These riches are commonly known
A motherland raped by man
Corruption inherited by those once in control
People treated as disposable
Civil unrest preferred
Such chaos keeps the jewel safe
The unrest prevents advancement
Forced to remain a third world
