Where Did The Winter Go

I long for the cold, with that touch of danger
But this year this season has become a stranger

How can a year of four seasons only have three
How can it be? It makes no sense to me

No chilly, frosted mornings to cherish
No falling snowflakes no matter how I wish

Where are the drifts of blowing, fallen snow
No drifts, no snow. Where did the winter go

Nothing more exhilarating than a chilly winter day
No fresh, fallen snow for angels to lay

Nothing more beautiful when all is covered in a blanket of white
To me this is such a beautiful and treasured sight

Nowhere to be seen. Nowhere the icy winds blow
Again I ask, where did the winter go
