One Word

At one with the word
But not beyond the absurd
With a single thought
Misconception is naught
The message is simple and direct
Precise enough to know the effect
So much more could be said
But then the message could be misread
Determined to have the ultimate impact
Controlling how all others will react
One simple, lone word
Its intent to not be deferred
Its reaction intended to predict
The message that it will inflict
No explanation needs to follow
All who have seen they will know
Miraculously, it doesn’t have to be said
Just look at the corpse and see that it is dead
